I decided to try doing a portrait using the pencil tool in Illustrator... It worked pretty well. I wanted the end result to have a sketchy, natural looking style, and I think I succeeded. It's tough to do this kind of thing using just the mouse, instead of having one of those cool stylus things, but adversity breeds character. (Or so I've been told...)
Anyway, Clive Owen is one of my favorite actors working today. It seems as though he can pull off the "badass" role without even thinking about it. I wanted my portrait of him to be gritty and loose, but bold... something to pay homage to his roles. Especially in Sin City. He totally rocked in that movie.
